And so it begins!

There we were, all excited and looking forward to what this season might bring and then BAM 20 seconds in and all our hopes and dreams seemed a distant memory!

Luckily for us, our beloved Cobblers fought hard for a 2-2 draw and we came away from Sixfields (metaphorically, of course) with a point.

Despite looking a little unsettled at the back, goals from Matty ‘Bagel’ Warburton and new pod favourite Ricky Korboa- we’ll call him Rocky- set us on our way in the first league match.

In the hope that the injury worries in the squad will settle down in the coming weeks, the Cobblers have Bristol City, Shrewsbury and Hull to see off in the next few weeks.

Of course, we couldn’t write this without mentioning the elephant in the room, yes, that’s right we are ABOVE Posh in the league after their start at Accrington Stanley. Who knew selling all your best players could have such consequences! (We joke of course, we’re guessing this might not last long, so we’re milking it for all it’s worth).

While you’re here, don’t forget that the pod are celebrating 100 episodes and to celebrate we’re going live on our Facebook page at 8pm tonight, join us if you can.

Up the Cobblers!
