Ricky Holmes joined the Cobblers on loan from Portsmouth in January 2015 and despite Pompey fans’ assessment of the tricky winger, went on to become one of the best players to ever play for the Cobblers.
Just 25 days into his loan, Holmes signed a 2 and a half year, permanent deal at Sixfields.
During his time as a Cobbler, Ricky scored some spectacular goals and earned himself a League Two title winners medal.
On this episode of It’s All Cobblers To Me, Ricky joins the pod for one hell of an hour and 20 minutes.
Seriously, you won’t want to miss this!
Ricky talks to us about his time at Charlton, Sheffield United and The Cobblers with some tales you just won’t believe!

Charles is the founder and main presenter of the award-winning It’s All Cobblers To Me podcast.
He began the podcast after going self-employed in 2018 as a podcast producer and voiceover artist. The original thought being that It’s All Cobblers To Me would be a place to try out new things – like a test podcast of sorts.
As well as being Cobblers mad, Charles is also a ultramarathon runner and has a blog about that that he tries to keep up to date as often as he can.
