Northampton Town Podcast Burton Defeat – Charles, Chessie and Danny give an honest assessment of Jon Brady’s first game as interim manager of Northampton Town.
Brady needs our support
I’m not sure what I was expecting to see on Saturday. At the end of the game I was furious and was intent on never watching us again. But what did I think was going to happen?
Brady himself said that he had only had two, one hour sessions with the players before the Burton game. He’ll need much more than that to make any real changes.
I saw a few fans post on social media saying that their mind was made up and Brady was not the answer. As with my fury, the posts were pretty reactionary and I doubt those people feel as strongly three days later.
At the end of the day, he’s got to be given time to turn it around. You can’t expect miracles after just two days and I doubt Brady does either.
Whatever happens, whoever comes in, we’re going to have to get behind the whole team. While I don’t expect the Cobblers to be playing League One football next season, there is still a chance and while there is a chance we have to give it all we’ve got.
