Northampton Town Podcast Sunderland – 2021 is in full swing and It’s All Cobblers To Me is back to raise a glass to all Northampton Town fans everywhere and chat about the latest goings on Sixfields.

Let The Window Open

After a good couple of results, Keith Curle’s Cobblers now have a ten day break until their next game. Whether this is going to work in our favour or not remains to be seen.

Sunderland of course, came into Saturday’s 0-0 draw having not played a game for the best part of three weeks. Did it work for or against them?

As our break isn’t affecting our ability to train, hopefully Curle will be able to work with the players a bit more on our attacking play.

There is also hope that we may see some more new players arrive at Sixfields, although there will have to be some current members of the team going out first.

One of those players may well be Ricky Holmes and we will be very sad to see him go, if he does. Questions will no doubt be raised about the club’s and Curle’s ambitions.

Another player linked with a move away is youth team graduate Caleb Chukwuemeka. The 18 year old is yet to sign a professional contract and rumours are abound that Norwich City are interested in signing the talented striker.

Let’s hope that whatever happens, the Cobblers end up on the best side of any moves – in and out.
