Our First Win!

This week has seen plenty of Cobblers related drama…

We started the week in the League Cup, but despite a valiant effort, Bristol City were simply too strong and a 4-0 defeat left us out of the cup. With injuries mounting (just the 11 now), some of us were fearing the worst ahead of the weekend.

It seems that every time we’re a little nervous about what’s ahead, the team surprise us with a good result.

Today’s game saw an early goal from Marshall, plenty of good work from Chuck and Bagel to see Hoskins fire us into a 2-1 lead and hold on for a well deserved victory, all with very much a makeshift squad.

With our first victory on the board and up to the heights of 7th in the table (still above Boro!), we’re all looking forward to the return to the PTS/Sixfields on Saturday and our game against high flying Hull City.
