Marc Richards first joined the Cobblers from Blackburn Rovers as Martin Wilkinson looked to change the fortunes at Sixfields by splashing the cash.
After 2 seasons at Sixfields, Rico moved on but after spells at Barnsley, Port Vale and Chesterfield, he returned as Chris Wilder’s captain.
Thanks in no small part to his role in the title winning season, Rico became a legend at Northampton and has since gone on to coach both the academy and the first team squad.
In this episode of It’s All Cobblers To Me, Rico joins the It’s All Cobblers To Me team to talk about his career at not just the Cobblers but Blackburn, Crewe and Port Vale too.
Hear how Rico single handedly won the Cobblers the League 2 title *cough cough* by keeping the rest of the lads in check.
There’s a goldmine of stories in this one that you won’t want to miss!
Just to warn you, there is a little bit of swearing in this episode.

Charles is the founder and main presenter of the award-winning It’s All Cobblers To Me podcast.
He began the podcast after going self-employed in 2018 as a podcast producer and voiceover artist. The original thought being that It’s All Cobblers To Me would be a place to try out new things – like a test podcast of sorts.
As well as being Cobblers mad, Charles is also a ultramarathon runner and has a blog about that that he tries to keep up to date as often as he can.
