This time the fan taking a trip down Memory Lane is Tom Cliffe who talks to Charles about the Chris Wilder years.
In January 2014 the Cobblers were at the bottom of the Football League and looking for a new manager. At the time it seemed a strange decision as Chris Wilder made the move from promotion chasing Oxford United to become Cobblers boss.
As fate would have it, Wilder and his assistant Alan Knill would save the Cobblers from certain relegation thanks to a last day 3-1 victory over Oxford United on the last day off the season.
The following season saw a number of new players through the door at Sixfields and Wilder’s team finished 12th in League 2.
Of course, the real magic came in the 2015/16 season but in this episode of Memory Lane, Tom looks back on what he says was the “real miracle of Wilder’s reign.”

It’s All Cobblers To Me is a Vibrant Sound Media production for the fans of Northampton Town Football Club.
Charles is the founder and main presenter of the award-winning It’s All Cobblers To Me podcast.
He began the podcast after going self-employed in 2018 as a podcast producer and voiceover artist. The original thought being that It’s All Cobblers To Me would be a place to try out new things – like a test podcast of sorts.
As well as being Cobblers mad, Charles is also a ultramarathon runner and has a blog about that that he tries to keep up to date as often as he can.
